• WHAT IS GUADELOUPE LIKE?
Guadeloupe is formed by two larger islands, Grande Terre and Basse Terre which are connected by a bridge and three smaller islands, Les Saintes, Marie Galante and Desirade. Guadeloupe is mountainous it has tropical forests, rivers and water falls on the island of Basse Terre and of course beautiful picture postcard beaches; Grande Terre has a drier climate and is flat with beautiful white beaches and turquoise lagoons which are protected by coral reefs and towards the north of the island, sugar cane plantations.
Les Saintes, Marie Galante and Desirade have a dryer climate and are very flat, the first renown for the beautiful bay, Marie Galante for it’s beautiful beaches and tranquillity and La Desirade dry and arid and fisherman village lifestyle.

Beautiful, many and for all likings, you can change a beach every day.
The best known beaches are found on the southern coast of Grande-Terre, beautiful and wild are the beaches towards the northern part of the island.
The Beaches of Grande Terre are white or golden, the ones of Basse Terre are pinkish or of volcanic sand, beautiful paradises like beaches at Marie Galante, beautiful and wild beaches at Desirade.
